Three Ways To Motivate Yourself Back Into The Gym

Putting on weight and losing my fitness has got to be one of my biggest regrets in life. Learning to love keeping fit has never come easy for me, I feel hideous wobbling around the gym, to the point that I would rather not go than make a fool of myself. I know once I start to feel and see the results, I really enjoy going, but until then I need a kick up the bum. If you are in a similar situation, here are three ways I am motivating myself to get in the gym and do some WORK.

There is nothing like new gym clothes to make me feel more confident and comfortable. Being that bit bigger, I am really struggling with some brand’s sizing. The difference in sizes is actually shocking and has got me so low in the past.

These Lapasa leggings are excellent. At £14.95 they’re so reasonable, they don’t go see through and the wide waist band means they don’t dig in causing unsightly bulges. They stay in place as well without riding up or down, I am totally in love with them. They come in lots of different colours but I particularly like the pattern of these ones, they are bright and funky with a muted pattern making them unique. There are matching bra tops and t shirts too, nothing like a bit of coordination! As if the price isn’t good enough, you can also get 10% off when using code CUPCAKE01.

With new gym clothes I simply need a new pair of trainers and Asics are my trainer of choice. I have wide feet and I find these the most comfortable with the brightest colours possible! They are really structured meaning they hug the feet providing enough support to stop my ankles rolling and my feet stay as comfortable as possible. I got these in a sale so I don’t think they are available anymore but there are loads of brightly coloured options on their website.

When the guys at Herbalife found out I needed some support with my weight loss journey they arranged for me to have a chat with one of their coaches, who recommended a range of products to support my individual goals. I will write a separate post on the range but these three are really helping at the moment. The Citrus Lemon bars only have 140 calories yet 10 grams of protein to help keep me fuller for longer. I have been adding the Herbal Aloe Concentrate Drink to water which is really helping me get through 2 litres a day. The mango flavour adds a fruitiness without loads of sugar too. The Instant Herbal Beverage is great in the morning to replace a cup of tea. It contains 85mg of caffeine that helps me find a little bit more energy for the gym which, in turn, boosts my motivation to get there in the first place. I’ve talked about the brand before which you can read here

There will be lots more gym and fitness related posts in the weeks to come as I try my hardest to get in shape for my trip to Thailand, how do you get motivated to visit the gym?
