I have to admit I am really disorganised when it comes to toiletries for travelling. I have so many sample sizes of things that I end up popping them in my case no matter whether they will ‘work’ with my travel plans or not. I have been a little bit more organised with my Italy trip so I thought I would share with you what I have taken with me. In fact, organised or not I am tempted to share my future wash bag contents with you so you can see how random they can be!
Decleor Aroma Cleanse Essential Cleansing Milk and Essential Tonifying Lotion
I have used Decleor Aroma Cleanse products before after I was recommended them on a spa break a few years ago. I was lucky enough to be given these miniatures in a goodie bag from an event at Titanic Spa so I have saved them for this holiday. The products are best for dehydrated skin and I know the heat in Italy will strip my skin of moisture that will need to be replaced pretty quickly. I love that the cleansing milk is a thinner consistency to my usual cream cleansers which makes it quicker to use and the tonifying lotion will help balance and revitalise my skin after a day in the heat. A full size of these products retail at £20.50 each.
Gisela Graham Summer Meadow Body Wash
When I think of Italy I think of vineyards, lush green fields and lemon groves so this body wash from Gisela Graham is going to make me feel like I am walking through that field whilst I am in the shower! The packaging is so cute and vintage in style whilst the scent is dominated by red peony and red apples. I can see me getting through the whole tube within the week. You can get it at Waitrose for £4.95 which I think is a bargain for such a great smelling body wash.
I am always on the hunt for a decent shampoo and try to change them regularly as my dry thin hair gets used to them very quickly. This Amla and Clary Sage shampoo is balancing and soothing with a strong herbal smell. Amla claims to strengthen the roots whilst the sage helps to prevent hair loss. I am not overly sold on the scent and I prefer my shampoo to foam more than this does but my hair feels so clean after using it, I am happy to forgo these elements. Especially if it can prevent me losing any of my already thinning hair. It’s incredible reasonably priced at just £5.94.
Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm
When it comes to travel I am all for multi purpose products so this flash balm from Elemis was a no brainer for me. It brightens, smooths and moisturises which will help hydrate my skin after a day in the sun but also act as a primer for my makeup to sit on ready for a night on a gondola in Venice. A full size tube is fairly pricey at £37 but anything that can improve my complexion and help my makeup look flawless is a winner to me.
