About Me.

Hello, my name is Keeley and this Phat Cupcake. An award winning Manchester food blog and a travel blog with a focus on balanced foodie travel.

As a teenager, I used to keep online diaries on sites like Live Journal, and I am fully aware that shows my age.

I’ve always loved documenting my life online and started this corner of the internet in 2012, when I started to record my ‘weight loss’ journey. Things went a bit wonky when I was asked to review a local restaurant, and it spiralled from there. I’ve been covering food and booze around the North West ever since and was honoured to be voted the Best Food Blog at the Lovin Manchester Awards.

Someone once described me as ‘well travelled’, and I have been trying to live up to that name ever since. You will find worldwide balanced travel, helping you get the best for your buck around the world. That might be a budget hotel so you can afford to dine at the best Michelin starred restaurants, or luxury accommodation with a menu of street eats.

When it comes to UK travel, you’ll find the best dog friendly travel spots and my Border Collie Ferguson features regularly. And yes, he is named after Alex.

I’d love to hear from you so feel free to email me, or chat to me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

You can email me at keeley@phatcupcake.com or chat to me via the following social media accounts:

    Hi Keeley,

I’ve added a new feature so you can publish your blog posts on Urbanspoon yourself without having to wait for us to do it! Next time you post a review, give it a try. Here’s how:

    – Make sure you’re signed into Urbanspoon.
    – Go to your Urbanspoon blog page (not your user profile): https://www.urbanspoon.com/br/341/9700/Manchester/Phatcupcakes-Journey-to-Skinniness.html
    – Click “Edit blog settings”.
    – In the Pending Posts section, click “Edit and publish my pending posts”.
    – Then, enter the “snippet” text, verify the date and URL, and press Publish.

    Please make sure that:
    – The URL should be the permalink to the blog post (not the blog home page, a post preview, or a service like feedproxy).
    – The snippet should be 2-3 sentences (quoted from your blog post) that gives an idea of what’s in the post.
    – The snippet should NOT include bylines, dates, address info, captions, tags, HTML code, etc.

Note: there may be a delay of 1-2 hours after you post on your blog until our system detects the post.

We’ll give you one week to do it yourself, then it’ll go into our queue to publish.

Thank you for all of your contributions, and let us know if you have any questions.

My name is Alyssa. I’m a freelancer who works for Media – Top, an online media agency. Would you be interested in writing and posting an article for a fixed fee? The article should be relevant to the category and to the readers of your site.

If you are interested, please let me know and I’ll provide you with more details.
Also, if you own other sites, please send me their URLs, so I can review them.

I look forward to hearing from you!
