Healthier Treats With Raw Halo Chocolate

I am the biggest chocaholic, so when trying to cut down and shed a few lbs, less really is more. I am a firm believer of ‘everything in moderation’, which calls for a really good quality chocolate. You know the kind, where a couple of squares is enough to quash the cravings without totally throwing you out for the rest of the day. That is where Raw Halo Chocolate have you covered.

Raw Halo founder Meg starting making the chocolate in her West London flat when she decided to cut refined sugar from her diet. She struggled to find a chocolate that tasted good so decided to make some herself! Meg utilised only the best organic ingredients including raw Peruvian cocoa beans and organic coconut sugar. It is lightly sweetened naturally so the chocolate flavours are heightened, meaning you only need a couple of squares to get that chocolate fix.

You would be forgiven for assuming that this chocolate comes in just the basic varieties, but the range has some great combinations including dark chocolate with Himalayan pink salt and lemon, as well as the mylk with salted caramel featured above. Many of the bars are vegan (pop over to their website to check which) and they really are tasty. They are rich, as you would expect from such quality yet simple ingredients, yet the flavours develop as the chocolate starts to warm and melt in the mouth. It really does feel like you have eaten more than you have, which can only be a bonus for the waistline.

Prices start from £2.79 and you can buy them from their website. It’s time to make those few squares count.
