I really enjoy a good spa day, there is nothing more relaxing when you work full time, blog part time and are generally a busy person than to forget it all for a day of pure self-indulgence. Spa Seekers recently invited me to visit Mottram Hall Hotel and Spa for a day of relaxing activities, who was I to refuse their offer? Keep reading to the bottom for your chance to win a spa day for yourself!
I have visited Mottram Hall Hotel and Spa a few times now. I really enjoy the country feel to their spa which means you can’t see a single road from their windows giving the impression of being much further away from home than you actually are. Their facilities include numerous treatment rooms including double rooms so you can enjoy treatments with a loved one. The use of Espa and OPI products makes the treatments at the top end of the quality scale and I have never had a bad experience at Mottram Hall Spa.
My favourite element, and probably the most unique to Mottram Hall, is the outdoor experience. There is an outdoor hot tub, as there are in many spas these days, but there is also an alfresco themo space, the first of its kind in the UK. Warm thermal rooms are less harsh on the body than a sauna and, when combined with the cool bucket showers, it really invigorates the senses and eases the muscles.
After a few hours of treatments and relaxing in the alfresco thermal space, afternoon tea is a must. A selection of finger sandwiches and cakes paired with a glass of fizz in the picturesque surroundings adds to the relaxation and is surprisingly filling! The mini cream horn was my favourite as there was an added surprise of jam filling the inside before cream.
During my visit I was introduced to Colour Me Beautiful, a service which shows you how to use the right colours for your skin and hair tone to enhance and compliment your colouring. It was incredible to see the difference just the slightest colour shade can make, especially with the lighter skin toned ladies in the group. I wasn’t surprised to hear that warmer shades compliment me the best but I have had some exposure to Colour Me Beautiful before, it was nice to confirm I was doing the right thing in terms of my shopping! If you are interested in finding your own perfect colours you can locate your nearest Colour Me Beautiful consultant here.
I was working in the evening after my visit so cheekily volunteered to have my make up done by the amazing Chloe Johnston who is a make up artist covering the Cheshire and Manchester area. It was so lovely to see a professional using Make Up Geek especially after I had ordered some of their eyeshadows the week before! I picked up lots of tips around my brows and how to get the most from my eyes in as little effort as possible. I came away with the perfect face and lashes, so much so that some of my customers didn’t recognise me when I got to work. I really should make more of an effort to learn these things myself! You can book Chloe Johnston here.
I had a thoroughly enjoyable day being pampered and I will be visiting Mottram Hall Spa again very soon. Whilst you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the day I did, you can enjoy the individual elements, which is just as good. To enjoy your own spa day you can also enter the competition by Spa Seekers below. The grand prize is an all inclusive weekend away at the Telford Hotel and Golf Resort with two runners up receiving spa days plus lunch and two treatments at the Telford Hotel and Golf Resort.
Don’t say I don’t tell you anything but do me a favour, if you win, take me with you?
